Why is Relay for Life Important?
With cancer being one of the most wide spread diseases it would be easy to assume that you may know someone who has been affected by cancer in some way in their life. Many participants of Longwood's Relay for Life have been affected by cancer in some way, or have made Relay for Life an important event to them despite not knowing those affected by cancer. Every participant does the Relay for Life for some reason, and that is what makes Relay for Life that much more important. Relay for Life is not just important to the American Cancer Society for raising money, but also important to those who have gave it meaning.
Annie Tracz - Event Chair of Relay for Life Committee
